Solo International Ethnic Music Festival

One more musical show, cultural events held in the city Solo. the Solo International Ethnic Music Festival (SIEM) that presents the music show ethnic music streams and the like. 

SIEM event also brings some invited guests who originated the famous musicians that exist in Indonesia and overseas. The ethnic musicians including "Plaid" and "Southbank" comes from the UK, "ABO Orchestra" and "Sonofa" (Singapore), "Solo Pipe Woman" (Taiwan), "Albert Chimedza" and "Mbira" (Zimbabwe), and "Kamal Mussalam" (Dubai).

Musicians come from the country that will be featured performances SIEM, among other Dewa Budjana, Iwan Hasan, Tohpati, Hamrin Samad (Napier), Subono (Solo), Sahuni (Banyuwangi),  Elizar Koto (Padang), Rhytm Riau (Riau ), Krakatau Band, and Bandaneira.

Solo International Ethnic Music Festival (SIEM) has become an annual event and was held for 3 times. During the two times SIEM held in Solo, the venue chosen is always associated with the relics of past history. The first was held in Beteng Vasternburg and second in Pamedan Pura Mangkunegaran with building background ancient cavalry. The third was held in Sriwedari Stadium which is also the Monument of National Sports Week I in Indonesia.
